Big Bounce is a performance piece based on movement and speech which explores the concept of origin and plays a game of unfolding different possible futures derived from a common origin.
Big Bounce proposes a journey in which the temporality of the performance is questioned through bodies that transform, replace and complement each other continuously.
Big Bounce takes its name from the eponymous theory that suggests that we could be living in the first of all universes, but that it is equally probable that we could be living in the two thousand millionth universe (or in any one of an infinite sequence of universes).

Common trajectory of the Big Bouncers Collective: Cecilia Colacrai, Mireia de Querol and Anna Rubirola. All of them are independent creators resident in Barcelona. They were members of CRIM (Creadors independents en moviment. 2011/2013), resident at La Caldera (from 2009 to 2013), and at the moment are resident at La Visiva. Each has had an extensive career working independently and in collaboration with other artists, as well as a broad experience in the field of dance pedagogy.
They began working together in May 2012, sharing their interests and developing a common practice. They had the opportunity to present their work to the public in October of the same year within the programme Escena Criminal III at the Antic Teatre, Barcelona. There they were able to confirm that the direction of their work is of interest to and has an impact on both the audience and themselves. For this reason, they decided to continue developing their work around the three lines mentioned above: the creation of a performance piece (Big Bounce); the work on Site Specific Performances; and the workshops on compositional tools for creation.
The piece Big Bounce has been created in residency at the following spaces: tragantDansa 2013, La Caldera 2012-2013, La Visiva 2013 and Burdag Studio (Poland) 2013.
